Dialogue Acting Performance Test

Scene: This is a quiet moment during a party between a handsome teen Ben  and a timid girl with glasses, Aria. They are on the balcony of the penthouse suite of an apartment.

[0:00-0:02]  Side shot of Ben and Aria. Ben is already Shaking his head. Ben speaks in an exasperated tone, "That's not how it works!" 

[Cut: -0:12] Ben's monologue with multiple cuts between the two characters as he speak continuously. Waist up shot of Ben. Ben leans back against the railing and sighs to collect himself. Then he turns to Aria and speaks in a reluctant and exasperated tone with subtle hand gestures to emphasize his points, "Kylie..is confident. Where as, you're just.." Camera cuts to Aria to see that her feelings are hurt as Ben continues his monologue out of frame,  "shy and awkward and wierd and I..I.." Camera cuts back to Ben who is still speaking his monologue, "I don't know, I want a girl who knows how to kiss, how to flirt, like Kylie," Camera cuts to Aria to catch her reaction as Ben finishes his monologue out of frame with a definitive tone, "Not some virgin."

[Cut: -0:15] Close up on Ben. He shrugs and speaks with a dismissive tone, "I'm sorry, Aria," and finishes softly and dismissively, "But you'll never be what I want," and walks out left of frame rolling his eyes.
